| That looks damn impressive, judging from the screens so far. I remember some of your previous maps killbox for example, really liked it, played it a few times DM mode on LAN with 2 frinds. Matt altough i am fcking curious to play that new de_dust2 map, take your time to finish it and turn it into a real masterpiece | |

| Thanks baz, thanks nafets I've spent the last 4 hours working on it, i've almost finished tunnel, there's still a lot of work left, the lighting needs a lot of work, boxes, windows, environmental sounds, background terrains, even though the layout is almost finished, there's a lot of touching up to do ! Hopefully in the summer, I'll be able to release it | |

| Damn, being a map maker for Chaser seems to be a difficult work, and you don't even get paid! xD
Anyway man, if you promise that it will be so good as you describe it, well I hope it will be played =D

| If I don't get the lighting like it is in the real thing, I'll consider not even releasing the map that's how important it is ! Baz, if I was ever to go work for a gaming company, like EA Games or Valve, I could show them my level design work, but it's not the reason why I do it, helps me kill time, listen to music, one of the main reasons why Minecraft got so famous is that people had the ability to create places and environments from scratch, level designing is obviously much harder but that feeling of creating a world is very satisfying. Thanks for the support | |

| loool yeah I now understand why so many people played minecraft, it's not my type of thing, creating stuff like that, but well you're doing a good job on this one, even if it's a copy ;p | |

| I was talking about map making in general, the freedom to create whatever you imagine ! This map in particular, as a copy, not only makes it 1000 times harder to make, but it is satisfying in a different way ! I use a method that helps me make an exact copy, it takes the exact same amount of time to get from one end of the map to the other as in CSS, I started making this map because at the time I was playing a lot of CSS and wanted to see what chaser would be like on it ! For me, the fact that this is a re-creation makes it more of a challenge, and thus, more satisfying to work on Thanks Zippo | |

| Yeah man, but I just referred this one as an example, and I belive this map being a copy makes it very difficult to make, because great copies are only great when they are perfect, and even for the smallest detail possible, and I bet it is satisfying for you, it's a map you've played thousands of times and noticed every detail on it, you already love this map before creating it x) The first creation of de_dust2 from Nollie I think, wasn't bad at all, besides the bugs I think it was played, at least I remember sometimes, local servers opened with them, and I even had fun with my friends playing on it, and also the buggy thing, it was so easy to bug on that map that we wanted to know how far we could go on with that bug! | |

| You know 0 about Chaser dude, you have no idea how great is is to still have people willing to make maps, you're just a stupid kid who hasn't got any idea of what life is, you have no idea how it feels to have people still doing maps, something that they're not obligated to do, something they do, because they LOVE it, Matt told me to make dust2 perfect it would take 2 years, dude, that's just people who love Chaser, and that's why I enjoyed Matt's work, I couldn't do it, lol.
Anyway you still have time to grow up, Jack's ass kisser.

| If he had something to gain from this, it would be thought of "ass-licking", but since he's genuinely supporting the project and is glad to see this kind of stuff being made for the community, he's clearly not !
The screenshots of the tunnel are old screenshots, there will not be any problems with lighting between cells, each have the same ambient light.

| And this is why it's not called ass licking, Matt is a just an awesome guy, who is one of the most fair people I've ever met, like the person who has been more neutral on Chaser, although as a leader he is, just like me, he defend his clan members, it's something I like about him, Matt is just a guy who doesn't get into flame wars, he gets into debates, he has proper conversations with people, he doesn't flame, he is just an awesome guy, and I have no reason to ass lick him since I don't anything from me besides friendship and some competition | |

| It's actually a screenshot of the original background houses in the real map, and I split it up into different textures, still need to make it look realistic, but I think it's fine, i don't want to add too much terrain because I don't want this map to start lagging (since it's already quite big) | |

| Thank you Nemy appreciate the support !! I was able to test this map with my old PC (roughly 6 years old) in order to really test the map. Herdware tested: - Intel Pentium D CPU 2.80GHz - 2.00 GB of RAM - Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS Results: With this hardware, on the highest chaser settings, I was able to play de_dust2 with an average FPS of 50 - 60 (which is very good in comparison to what I was expecting ) So, if you are able to play Forest Camp without lagg, you will definitely be able to play this map without any lagg ! I will continue to find techniques to bring up the FPS, hopefully I can bring it up by about 10fps on this computer ! Keep in mind that this computer is far below the average nowadays, if you're computer is relatively new, you're laughing | |
