My opinion:

I would challenge those hosting servers to restore the game back to its original design to include grenades. Too many times players box camp with AKs and Snipers. The game was designed to have weapons that feature their individual strengths. Ak's rapid fire and can camp. Grenades can flush them out of position from the box and allow an attack with a shotgun. I think many players have relied upon altered servers and then mastered the camping game and then claim themselves to be good and have skill.

I also would like to see a server set up to feature a custom map for 1 week and then each week set up another new custom map. Playing the same map now for 7 years gets to be boring. For those experienced programmers that like to alter servers I challenge them to figure out a way to put a link up on the server site that will allow players to download the featured map of the week that is being hosted.

You're right, but we would face another problem, though. Players buying tons of grenades and spreading them over and over hall and such. Then people would come by begging to restrict the grenades again.

I agree with a server featuring a custom map, just needed the map auto-downloader lol

Agree with you, i will try to, but do u mean by manual adding on site like this week this map is hosted and click here to download it? Wouldn't u like to help? Im quite busy with it at all:] and i accept all new ideas, about nades, well we could try it for a while [at least in full]

Yes a link on the server screen that says download featured map here and when you click it it will download for the player. I know it would be real difficult or impossible to actually have the map load up while the player is entering the server. they would have to close down chaser and then reopen chaser after they save the map. but at least it would be a quick easy way for players to find the map that is being featured. i think it would encourage custom map play. I would love to help zippo but i have no experience programming . I only have made maps and had done a few mods

We had a similar discussion in another topic, I was for grenades but only to allow 1 grenade per person (by changing the price, maybe?) The only thing I don't like about grenades is that they can be buggy. How many times has it happened where your team mate throws a grenade on the other side of the hall and it somehow kills you when you're not even in the hall ?

As for flash, definitely restrict, you're blinded for much too long and I've never seen them being used in a tactical way, only noobs who buy 15 of them and spam the whole place (until he blinds himself and gets killed). Though if not, I've seen a patch that reduces the amount of time that you're blinded, can't remember who made it but it was recent !

I remember someone who had a patch against flash nade, you wouldn't even get flashed if someone thowrs a nade, but well I've never seen it, I just heard that someone had it.. And I know who.

Sounds mysterious.
But think you just need to search 10 mins in the .fs files to find a texture or something.

Sum, actually downloading map from the server while joining to server is like impossible for me, cause i am not good in ASM and i do not have C source codes to game... In assembler i can just make some little patches and so on, but not to modify whole game :]

agree, Sum1 is one of the best MP makers of all time, but at some of these maps i have 25fps
